Shining soulful house star DJ Kawasaki’s music was first brought too light back in 2005 via his debut bossa-house driven ‘Blazin’ via NYC King Street Records and then via Osaka’s Especial records in 2006 now Kawasaki opens up his sound and completes the musical triangle in 2007 with his debut ep for Pantone.

Teaming up with Reel People vocalist Angela Johnson, Tokyo starlet’s Karin and Lena Fuji is it makes one of the most soulful set of tracks too come from the Japan scene in years , which is why tracks have been playlisted by Danny Krivit , Timmy Regisford , Kyoto Jazz Massive and Jazztronik and Aaron Ross.

Kawaski keeps things simple and straightforward here -- often using jazzier instrumentation amidst the warm basslines and keyboards that propel the tunes -- and the rhythms themselves are much more in a back to basics mode.
Definitely a name too earmark for 2008
